Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition and AMP Extreme Edition debuts in Malaysia

From L-R: Tricia Tham, Senior Marketing Manager, Consumer Business Singapore/Malaysia, NVIDIA; Alex Yeung, Senior Sales Manager, Zotac International (MCO) Ltd.; Karly Kwok, Senior Marketing Officer, Zotac International (MCO) Ltd.; Joyce Chow, Channel Business Malaysia, NVIDIA and Yeo Ngee Seng, Regional Channel Sales Manager-APAC, Zotac International (MCO) Ltd. during the launch of the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition earlier today.

Exactly a month ago, NVIDIA unveiled the highly-anticipated GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California. Fast forward a month later, and we now have third-party manufacturers like Zotac releasing its own custom-cooled variants of NVIDIA’s immensely powerful GPU.

If you thought the Founders Edition of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti was impressive, wait till you feast your eyes on the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition, and the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition, which both made their local debut earlier today.

First up, some numbers. As you can tell from the image above, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition boasts a base clock speed of 1,569MHz and a boost clock speed of 1,683MHz, which are both higher than that of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition by 89MHz and 101MHz, respectively. While its memory clock speed is still capped at 11Gbps, Zotac has given the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition a 16 + 2 power phase for increased stability and efficiency.

Craving for more firepower? The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition would gladly provide, as it features an even higher base and boost clock speed of 1,645MHz and 1,759MHz, respectively. Its memory clock speed has been given a boost to 11.2Gbps, too – 190MHz higher than the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition. Naturally, it comes fitted with a 16 + 2 power phase as well.

Both the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition are equipped with the same amount of connectivity ports, which includes three DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a HDMI 2.0 port, and a dual-link DVI-D port.

The cards are loaded to the brim with features as well. Helping to keep the cards cool as a cucumber when tensions are running high is their IceStorm cooling system, which comprises two 100mm cooling fans for the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition, and three 90mm cooling fans for the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition. For that extra rigidity, both cards have been outfitted with a Carbon ExoArmor backplate. It goes without saying that Zotac’s customizable Spectra RGB LED lighting comes standard on both cards as well.

The Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition will be retailing for RM3,769 and RM3,999, respectively, and should be readily available on store shelves beginning next week.
