Zmi, one of Xiaomi’s many ecosystem companies and the maker of Xiaomi’s many power banks, has unveiled WTX10, a Qi wireless charging pad that works with the iPhone 8/8Plus/X and the just-announced Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.

A small (89mm diameter) and light (89g) wireless charging pad, the circular WTX10 features a black 2.5D glass-covered top and an aluminum alloy enclosure, and uses USB Type-C for power input. While it only accepts up to 14.4W of power (and outputs up to 10W), Zmi is kind enough to bundle a Quick Charge 3.0 USB adapter capable of 18W.

Using Integrated Device Technology’s wireless charging solution, the biggest selling point of the Zmi WTX10 is its claim of supporting wireless fast charging on the 2017 iPhones, the Mi Mix 2S, and several Samsung Galaxy phones, from the S9/S9+ all the way to the Note 5. I don't have one to test yet, but as the latest iOS 11.3 update is known to break fast wired charging functionality on third-party, non-official cables, it’d be interesting to find out if fast wireless charging solutions from third parties are affected as well.

In any case, those feeling adventurous can get the Zmi WTX10 from Chinese online marketplaces such as Taobao and JD.com for 129 Yuan (~S$27).
