Xiaomi Mi Note 2 arrives in Malaysia for RM2,499

The LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are all launching next week, but what if you’re not willing to pay a premium for them? You can always consider the more affordable – but no less well-equipped – Xiaomi Mi Note 2, which will be available for purchase starting this Saturday, April 29, for RM2,499.

As a matter of fact, you’re actually getting a lot for the money, since the range-topping Global variant of the Mi Note 2 which we’ll be receiving comes packed with a 5.7-inch dual-curved Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM128GB of internal storage, and a 4,070mAh Quick Charge 3.0 battery.

The Mi Note 2 is also very well endowed in the imaging department as well. There’s no dual-camera system to be found here, instead, you’ll find a 22.56MP f/2.0 rear camera equipped with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS stacked image sensor and electronic image stabilization, while on its front lies an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing autofocus camera.

Audiophiles would definitely appreciate that Mi Note 2 offers 192kHz/24-bit resolution audio playback (in other words, High-Res Audio) with support for uncompressed formats.

The Mi Note 2 will be available for purchase this Saturday onwards from the official Mi Store on Lazada, the recently opened Mi Authorized Reseller Store in Penang), and selected Xiaomi authorized retailers nationwide.
