Chinese smartphone maker, vivo, recently gained exclusive rights to becoming the smartphone sponsor for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 and 2022.

The brand announced its agreement with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) last month, stating that the agreement will see that the organization will get sponsorship from vivo for a total of six years, starting with next year’s World Cup 2018, which will be held in Russia.

The extent of vivo’s sponsorship will include giving FIFA staff during the World Cup and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, which is set to begin on June 17, 2017.

As a global sponsor of the World Cup, Vivo hopes to strongly associate itself with the football spirit and show consumers all over the world Vivo’s creative, joyful, and international brand image. In the meantime, Vivo will bring its personalized, energetic and youthful spirit into the World Cup and the sport of football,” Ni Xudong, Senior Vice President of vivo commented.

This isn’t the first time that vivo has become a sponsor to a major event and franchise. Last year, the company won a deal with Disney, allowing them to become to official sponsor of smartphones for Marvel Studios’ (MCU) Captain America: Civil War.
