Apple is rumored to be launching two new AirPods models by Q1 2020.

Quoting information from industry sources, DigiTimes claims that a third generation AirPods with noise cancellation feature will be launched by the end of the year. Inventec and LuxShare Precision are expected to be the two manufacturers for the new AirPods.

Reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo followed up with a report detailing two new AirPods models coming in the Q4 2019 to Q1 2020 timeframe. Kuo expects one of the upcoming models to be an iterative update to the recently launched AirPods (2019) while the other model will sport a new form factor and cost more.

Rumors about the higher-end AirPods surfaced in June 2018 when Bloomberg reported that Apple is equipping it with noise cancellation and water resistance features. Kuo’s report in December 2018 also discussed the possibility of an “all-new design” AirPods arriving in early 2020.
