Synology has introduced three new DiskStation models: the DS218play, DS218j, and DS118. All three feature-rich NAS systems are ideal for home and small offices.

"These three home storage solutions are built to be the best multimedia library for users who love taking photos and videos to capture every important moment with their family and friends. With versatile add-on packages, the three NAS models are also excellent choices for small studio owners who are seeking better productivity during work hours," said Katarina Shao, Product Manager, Synology.

The DS218play is a two-bay NAS equipped with a 64-bit quad-core 1.4 GHz processor and 1GB RAM. It also provides a sequential read and write speed of over 110MB/s. In addition, the DS218play supports up to 10-bit H.265 4K video transcoding, allowing you to stream Ultra HD content to your smartphone or TV.

The DS218j, on the other hand, is a versatile two-bay NAS with a 1.3 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, along with sequential write and read speeds of 112MB/s and 113MB/s, respectively. To keep things eco-friendly, it uses up to 17.48W while in use, and only 7.03W when in HDD hibernation.

Finally, the DS118 is a single-bay NAS with a 64-bit quad-core 1.4 GHz processor and 1GB RAM. Capable of sequential read and write speeds of over 110MB/s, the DS118 can quickly access your data, thanks to its easy-to-use file management system, as well as the QuickConnect feature. In addition, the DS118 also supports up to 10-bit H.265 4K video transcoding, allow you to access Ultra HD videos from connected devices.
