The Sony WS623 joins the Walkman family

Sony's WS623 is the latest model to join the company's Walkman series. This new model boasts a host of new features while retaining its ergonomic wireless design.

Among the most notable features added to the WS623 are its Near-Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth connectivity options. These allow users to make it easier for users to pair compatible devices. The WS623 also has an internal storage capacity of 16GB, which is adequate for a reasonably large playlist.

Besides that, Sony has improved the water- and dust-resistance of the Walkman. Now the WS623 can function at depths of 2 meters, for 30 minutes. Even the earbuds are covered in a thin film that prevents water from damaging electronics while optimizing sound levels under water. In addition, the improved dust-resistance prevents even the tiniest of particles from entering the system.

This Walkman also has an Ambient Sound Mode feature that allows users to hear external sounds or voices through its in-built microphones, letting users be aware of their surroundings while they enjoy their music. In terms of battery life, the WS623 boasts an impressive 12-hour battery for each full charge; and it only takes one hour to fully charge the headset’s battery.

Sony’s WS623 Walkman is now available at Sony Stores and Sony Centers for RM599.
