SAPPHIRE Unveils New X79 Motherboard: Pure Black X79N

Sapphire Technology recently unveiled the latest addition to its line of Intel X79 Chipset motherboards with the Sapphire Pure Black X79N. Designed for the LGA2011 socket, this full ATX sized board supports up to 32GB of quad channel memory as well as CrossFireX technology.

Aimed at enthusiasts, the board features a total of six PCIe Gen 2.5 and Gen 3.0 slots with extensive storage options provided by four SATA III 6Gb/s and four SATA II 3Gb/s ports, as well as two e-SATA ports on the rear panel. When it comes to connectivity, the Sapphire Pure Black X79N comes with six USB 3.0 ports, 10 USB 2.0 ports, two RJ-45 gigabit LAN ports and Bluetooth with EDR. High-end features such as a new Sapphire UEFI BIOS, Dual BIOS switch, status monitor, voltage test pads and thermal monitoring also give the user better control of the board when overclocking.

Equipped with multi-channel digital power management circuitry, the board uses server-grade PWM components. Boasting a high-quality build, it features black multilayer PCB and gold-plated connectors for USB 3.0 and LAN, as well as high-reliability solid capacitors. The board also incorporates Sapphire Diamond Black chokes with coolers, which is often used for the brand's high-end graphics cards.
