Samsung Updates Audio Visual and Digital Appliances Range

Samsung Malaysia Electronics recently held an event to launch its 2013 Smart TV lineup as well as its new two-door refrigerator. Held at the Grand Hyatt KL, the event was attended by some of the top individuals from the company, including Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director; Jimmy Tan, Director, Consumer Electronics Marketing; Jason Foo, Head of Audio Visual Business Unit; Frederick Ong, Vice President, Consumer Electronics Business; and Lim Imun, Head of Digital Appliances Business Unit.

Also showcased was the highly impressive Samsung S9 4K TV

At the event, Samsung Malaysia Electronics launched the new Smart LED TV F8000 and the Smart Plasma TV F8500. The F8000 is equipped with a quad-core processor and features the latest content from Samsung, such as the 2013 Smart Hub. It also features the latest in voice and motion controls functionality. As for the F8500, it is Samsung’s top-of-the-line Plasma TV that is also equipped with a quad-core processor and is compatible with Samsung’s Smart Evolution Kit. The Samsung F8500 is priced at RM13,999 while the Samsung F8000 is priced at RM21,999.

Here's a better look at Samsung's two-door refrigerator

On the digital appliances side, Samsung released a two-door refrigerator equipped with some innovative technology – the Digital Inverter Compressor – that automatically adjusts cooling performance based on the temperature of the food inside. This helps to reduce energy consumption as well as wear and tear. The Samsung two-door refrigerator is priced at RM2,199.
