Samsung’s QLED TVs are now available, priced from RM12,999 onwards

You’ve read about us talking about Samsung’s new QLED TVs before during our coverage of CES and during the Samsung Sea & Oceania Forum earlier in the year. Now, these TVs have made their way to the local market.

From L-R: Lee Sang Hoon, President, Samsung Malaysia Electronics and Dato Lee Chong Wei at the launch event.

As a quick recap, the new Samsung QLED TVs improve on brightness and color accuracy, with peak luminence ranging between 1,500 to 2,000 nits, and able to display 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space with 100 percent color volume at all brightness levels.

Improvements beyond the TV itself are the aesthetics, and the first is its ‘Invisible Connection’ fiber optic cable, which will be the one cable that you connect all the other devices to. You also get a variety of stands to match your interior decoration, but if you prefer to mount it on a wall, then you get the ‘no-gap wall mount’ so that your TV sits flush against the wall while still giving you the liberty to make adjustments.

When you have unified cables, it also makes sense that you get unified remotes, in the form of the Samsung One Remote.

The new Samsung QLED TVs are available now at all Samsung Brand Shops and authorized dealers. There are six available models so far, which are the Q7 55-inch flat panel TV that's priced at RM12,999, the Q7 65-inch flat panel that comes with a price tag of RM19,999, the Q8 65-inch curved panel which costs RM22,999, the Q7 75-inch flat panel which is priced at RM35,999, the Q8 75-inch curved panel which has a price tag of RM36,999, and finally, the Q9 88-inch flat panel that costs RM99,999.
