Samsung might launch the Galaxy S9 ahead of MWC 2018

Samsung's next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9, might be unveiled early next year.

According to reliable tipster @Ricciolo1, consumers can expect to 'see an earlier announcement' of the Galaxy S9 with dual rear cameras and faster performance. The Galaxy S9 is also said to come with new 'tricks' similar to the iPhone X. The new 'tricks' could include a new camera system with 'three-layered image sensor' for capturing up to 1,000 photos a second, faster iris scanner and facial recognition features

Korean publication The Bell reported in July 2017 that the Galaxy S9 is likely to retain the same display size as the Galaxy S8, and Samsung is still trying to integrate a fingerprint sensor underneath the display. The Bell followed up with a report in September that a global launch is expected in mid February. Samsung is also expected to continue using heat pipes for the Galaxy S9
