Razer has updated its classic BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard with water and dust-resistant features, so that you won’t have to worry about food crumbs or accidental spills ruining its internal circuitry.

The IP54-rated BlackWidow Ultimate retains the distinctive green backlighting of its predecessor, and comes replete with a bunch of different lighting modes including Wave, Ripple, Reactive, and Starlight. Its Razer Green mechanical switches, meanwhile, have a lifespan of up to 80 million keystrokes, and an actuation force of 50g, which, by the way, is pretty much identical to the actuation force of Cherry MX Blue switches.

Some other features of the new BlackWidow Ultimate include a 10-key rollover with anti-ghosting, and fully programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording. There’s also a ‘Gaming Mode’ that will deactivate the Windows key so that you won’t accidentally end up tabbing out to your desktop when you’re being flanked by enemies.

The new BlackWidow Ultimate can be purchased from the Razer Online Store beginning today for RM549.
