Printing Wherever You Go with HP's Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinter Series

As design professionals are becoming more mobile than ever, the task of working together grows increasingly complex. Thankfully, HP has just announced two new web-connected printers at HP World Tour - devices that are transforming the large-format printing process with a new ergonomic design and improved user experience for better efficiency. More than that, the new HP Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinter series allow users to collaborate remotely, as it allows easy access, viewing and printing of projects from the cloud.

“Our customers constantly seek more efficient and user-friendly tools to bring their ideas to life,” said Gido van Praag, HP Vice President and General Manager, Graphics Solutions Business, Asia Pacific and Japan. “More than two decades after the launch of the first Designjet printer, HP continues to bring design, architecture, engineering and construction professionals large-format printing solutions with innovative features, such as the integrated stacking tray and true front-roll loading, that transform the in-house printing process as well as allow users more time for creativity.”

Designed to help busy workgroups complete work efficiently, the new 36-inch devices feature enhanced output tray and true front-roll media loading. Thanks to an integrated output stacking tray, the printers deliver flat, collated prints, improving productivity and reducing time spent searching through and organizing print outs. It also eliminates the need for users to bend down to collect prints.

The devices also now feature a new industrial design, which includes a media review table for easy, quick, checking of printed plans, as well as a true front-roll loading feature that allows users to load media easily, even while seated. An intuitive full-color touch screen also gives users added control for managing job queues, tracking print costs and viewing true print previews.

Ideal for small to medium workgroups, the compact HP Designjet T920 ePrinter operates at speeds of up to 21 seconds per A1/D print and is equipped with 32GB of virtual memory to process complex files and deliver faster prints. It has an integrated stacking tray that collates up to 50 sheets of A4- to A0-size media. Automatic paper roll alignment and true front-roll loading also makes handling media simpler.

For multi-user environments, the HP Designjet T1500 ePrinter comes equipped with 64GB of virtual memory, two paper rolls and smart switching capabilities to handle multiple jobs of different media types and sizes. Doubling the processing power of its predecessor, it also comes with a 320GB hard drive and uses a parallel processor for handling multiple files simultaneously.

Combined with HP Designjet ePrint & Share, a free web service, users can now access, view and print large-format documents on an Android or Apple tablet, smartphone, notebook or even an ePrinter touch screen. Users can automatically save copies of projects to the cloud when printing, or even print projects via email by attaching a PDF or other print-ready file and sending it over to the ePrinter's dedicated address.
