The Olympus Tough TG-870 is a camera that loves extreme sports

Last week, Olympus unveiled their latest and greatest lens to date at CES 2016, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS Pro. There is however, an additional product that Olympus unveiled during that period as well, and that's a brand-new Tough camera - the Tough TG-870.

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS Pro was announced at CES 2016.

The Tough TG-870 features a 21mm ultra-wide angle 5x zoom lens, and a 180-degree tiltable LCD screen. As with most modern cameras, it comes with Wi-Fi and GPS modules, which makes it easier for you to upload your photos to a smartphone that's connected. In addition, there are 13 different Art Filters for more creative shots.

Here's a look at the Olympus TG-870.

As you'd have guessed, the TG-870 is designed to be used in some of the harshest environments, like all of its brethren in the Tough series. It is water-proof up to a depth of 15m; is shock-proof, able to survive a drop from 2.1m; crush-proof, capable of supporting up to 100kgf of force; and can function in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.

There's still no word on pricing for either the M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS Pro or the TG-870, but according to Olympus Malaysia, both items will be available sometime in February.
