NEC and P1 Collaborate to Better Serve Businesses

NEC and P1 have signed an agreement to promote both their products and solutions in Malaysia. With P1 as the telecommunications provider and NEC being the technology partner, this is the first time the two companies have partnered to bring their collective strengths and benefits of both NEC and P1 technologies to SMEs and SoHos.

The first promotion under the collaboration of both parties is the launch of 'SIP-in-a-box', a telecommunications solution based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking. NEC will provide its IP-PABX (SL1000 and SV8000 series) while P1 provides the fiber broadband and 4G wireless connectivity. SIP trunking is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and streaming media service based on the SIP.

Both Michael Lai, CEO, P1, and Andrew Lee, Managing Director, NEC Malaysia, expressed excitement about their collaboration. They look forward to beginning a long and fruitful partnership where both companies can jointly present their latest IT and telecommunications technologies to Malaysian enterprises and businesses.
