MSI Unveils its Flagship Intel X79 Motherboard, Big Bang-XPower II

MSI recently announced the Big Bang-XPower II, its flagship motherboard based on the Intel X79 Express chipset. Featuring the latest PCI Express Gen 3 standard for a staggering 32GB/s of maximum bandwidth, it supports 4-way SLI/CrossFire multi-GPU processing technology for extreme 3D performance.

With eight slots of quad-channel memory, this mainboard can reach up to a staggering capacity of 128GB memory for even better performance. A 22-phase PWM design with Hybrid Digital Power also allows it to deliver up to 770W output, while dual 8-pin CPU power connectors give it an additional 300W power for intensive CPU processing, with an extra 150W provided via a single 6-pin VGA power connector.

The motherboard also comes equipped with MIL-STD-810G certified Military Class III components such as Hi-c CAPs, SFC, Solid CAPs and DrMos II. This materials ensure a longer component lifespan, as well as increased reliability, emphasizing optimal electrical stability and high performance.

Designed for overclockers, the new MSI Big Bang-XPower II also provides PCI-e CeaseFire for easy switching of graphics card slots on or off without physically removing the cards, offering convenience during multi-GPU platform tests. Other technologies such as V-Check Points, Direct OC and Easy Button 3 also ensure that the computer can be fine-tuned directly from the board itself without the need of a multimedia or any external auxiliary devices.
