If you've updated the LINE app to the latest release (5.11 for iPhone and Android, 4.5 on Windows desktop), you can now make voice calls within groups or multi-person chats. To initiate a group call, all you have to do is tap on the Phone icon (located at the upper-right corner), and hit the Start button. Just like the free voice and video call services that were introduced in recent years, this feature is available to LINE users at no charge (3G and 4G data charges apply). It also reminded us of LINE's 'Popcorn Buzz' app, which incidentally allows up to 200 people to talk to one another at the same time.

“We are constantly innovating the way our users communicate with their friends and family, and this new feature provides an additional way for our users to be closer to their friends and family. At every update, we look towards refining the experience to keep up with our users’ needs and demands,” commented SunHaeng Cho, lead planner for group call.

But that's not all, as the LINE 5.11 update also include a redesigned More screen, giving increased visibility to new apps and events for iOS and Android users.
