LG showcases B2B digital signages at all-new Asia Business Innovation Center

LG's newly-opened Asia Business Innovation Center is the destination for a wide range of state-of-the-art digital signage solutions that can be tailored to the unique needs of any industry, such as retail, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, and government. Based in Singapore, the regional B2B solution center allows prospective business clients to learn how LG's display innovations are completely customizable to deliver highly-targeted messaging and rich, dynamic visual content to enhance customer engagement.

The Dual-View Curved Tiling OLED signage is powered by an SoC and 128GB of internal storage for UHD content playback without the need for a PC or media player.

You can mount the Dual-View Flat OLED signage on a wall, suspend it from a ceiling, or place it on a floor stand.

Given the company's strong push for OLED display technology, we saw not one, but five OLED commercial displays that are capable of reproducing absolute blacks, intense colors with no light bleed in varying configurations. First, the 65-inch Dual-View Curved Tiling OLED (65EE5C) signage is wow-worthy for linking four flexible 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) OLED panels on each side to create a dual-sided, pencil-thin curved display that's equal parts stunning and space saving. For a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) alternative, the 55-inch Dual-View Flat OLED (55EH5C) signage allows for double-sided imaging with a slim bezel of just 2mm.

Next, we chanced on a Single-View Arched OLED signage that consists of two-by-four 55-inch curved Full HD OLED panels to form a panoramic display. As these panels can be custom bent to concave and convex formations, it is possible to create a tunnel-, wave- or even cylindrical-shaped structure that captures attention like never before. South Korea's Incheon International Airport and N Seoul Tower are great examples of these applications.

The OLED Video Wall seen here, comprising one-by-three 65-inch flat 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) OLED panels, is near seamless and can be extended easily, thanks to their narrow bezels. For example, the Social Tree at Changi Airport utilizes 64 47-inch displays to form a cylindrical video wall.

For the ultimate in thinness, the Wallpaper OLED signage features a 55-inch Full HD panel with a paper-thin depth of 3.65mm, which can be hung on a wall using the provided slim brackets.

Due to the thin nature of LG's digital signage solutions, they can be connected to a separate signage box via FPC (flexible printed circuit) cable, which can be housed hidden from view for a clean presentation. Powered by webOS, content playback can be as simple as plugging a USB drive to the box, or as advanced as distributing carefully-curated content remotely via LAN connection using LG's proprietary, license-based SuperSign software.

Landscape or portrait, the only limit to the Ultra Stretch series is your imagination.

Also showcased at the center were two variants of LG's Ultra Stretch digital solutions: the 86-inch ultra-wide 58:9 signage and the 88-inch ultra-wide 32:9 signage. The former is ideal for fashion boutiques as it can be installed as a pillar-type display and customized to serve up to four portrait images and video content, or mounted as a bar-type display with a resolution of 3,840 x 600. The latter is equivalent to two side-by-side 49-inch panels, split-screen capable, and excellent for commanding attention in financial institutions and F&B establishments.

Think big with LG's premium Ultra HD signage options, starting from the 55-inch 55UH5C up to the 98-inch 98LS95A.

This unique technology allows LED diodes in a transparent film to be installed on windows or glass surface, such as the mini fridge here.

With an eye on hospitality, LG provides a five-star guest experience in prestigious hotels like the Charlotte Marriott City Center in North Carolina, U.S. with its range of commercial-grade Ultra HD Pro:Centric Smart TVs. Entertainment aside, they allow hotel owners to work with system integrators and content providers to provide exclusive content, hotel-related information, amenities, as well as dynamic advertising purposes. To ensure maximum compatibility, the IPTV platform supports video decoding via IP connectivity, RF connectivity, or both. Remote diagnostic tools are also available for ease of maintenance.

Last but not least, LG's solutions to braving the outdoors are the Open Frame, Window Facing and Enclosure displays. In addition to anti-reflection coating, they offer 24/7 reliability and stunning image quality, along with protection from dust, iron shavings, humidity, and weather conditions. The Window Facing display, in particular, operates in high temperatures and at a noise level below 25dB, along with excellent energy-efficiency and cost savings.

In Malaysia, LG experienced an uptake in B2B integrated solutions, which saw triple-digit growth last year and is on pace for two-digit growth in 2017.
