LG announces new ProBeam laser projector

Weighing just over 2kg and being the size of a football, the ProBeam is capable of projecting up to a 120-inch screen at 1080p, with a brightness of 2,000 lumens. The projector also runs on  webOS that provides users with a range of smart TV features, allowing users to easily customize and use the machine.

With the usual ports such as USB, 3.5mm-out, and HDMI, the projector ought to meet the demands of most users. In addition, the ProBeam can also use Bluetooth connectivity to pair the projector with your portable speakers or wireless headphones as well.

Unlike normal lamp projectors, laser projectors are capable of starting up faster, consume less energy and can generate brighter pictures.

The LG ProBeam has been priced at US$1,500 (~RM6,433). Local pricing and availability remains to be confirmed.
