LEVEL UP Inc, the incubator company that started out last year to help video game developers get started in Malaysia, has officially settled down at the Komune co-working space.

The Komune, which is located at the UOA Corporate Tower over at Bangsar South, is essentially an office space made for companies, developers, and publishers who are looking for a semi-furnished office space to set up their office.

“Komune is more than just a shared office, we offer a sense of ‘komune-ity’ for people from various professional backgrounds to come together. We want to be the space that encourages innovation, collaboration, networking and continuous learning to help you get your best work done,” Stephanie Kong, General Manager (Projects) of UOA Development Bhd, said.

Naturally, setting up shop here will cost you. Komune’s business runs on a membership program: introductory membership plans offered at the Komune start from as low as RM35 for a Day Pass, and up to RM890 for a Private Office Suite desk. Of course, members of the Komune will be treated to several perks, such as 24/7 access to high-speed internet powered by TIME.

Members will also be given partner discounts, and gain access to community events. More importantly, Komune will also give co-working space partners its own form of credit, known as ‘k$’ (pronounced as k Dollars). According to Komune:

“For those who choose the Private Office Suite or Dedicated Desk membership plans, you will receive RM120 worth of k$ credit whilst the Hot Desk monthly membership plan will entitle you to RM60 worth of k$ credit. These credits can be used for a wide range of services, facilities and amenities which include booking Meeting Rooms, Event Space, Hot Desk Day Passes, Locker Rental, Mailbox Rental, Printing and even Café purchases. Never worry about running out of k$ credits as they may be topped up by purchasing online or with direct assistance from a Komune staff.”

Walking through the area, we can see why LEVEL UP Inc actually wanted to settle down in the space. The area is spacious, modern even, and the designers of the place had clearly taken into consideration the amount of space between the designated rooms and open office sections.
