Kingston announces its new lightning-fast KC1000 NVMe PCIe SSD

Kingston, one of the world’s most recognized brand for memory-based products, has announced the KC1000, its new lightning-fast  NVMe PCIe SSD. Kingston says that it is the perfect storage solution for those who use SSDs for high-resolution video editing, virtual and augmented reality applications, CAD software applications, streaming, and graphically intensive video games.

Designed for a power user and SSD enthusiast, the KC1000 is capable of up to 290,000 IOPS, and come in capacities of 240GB, 480G, and 960GB. The KC1000 uses a Phison PS5007-E7 controller, coupled with an MLC NAND.

The sequential read and write speeds are rated at 2,700MB/s and 900MB/s for the 240GB variant, while both the 480GB and 960GB variants have sequential read and write speeds rated at 2,700MB/s and 1,600MB/s.

Currently, there is no official Malaysian pricing for the Kingston KC1000, but stay tuned as we’ll update this article as soon as we get the information.
