Intel Embedded Opens New Opportunities for Partners

Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaIntel Malaysia today hosted a briefing that served as a platform for Intel to showcase its embedded technology. The event was held at Hilton Doubletree in KL and saw several successful Intel partners setting up booths to serve as case studies and provide guidance for other Intel partners.

A device in the health industry developed with Intel Embedded. This device doubles as an entertainment hub for patients, as well as a information hub for doctors.

The briefing was attended by Prakash Mallya, Country Manager, Intel Malaysia; Patrick Liew, Embedded Sales Group, South East Asia, and Gark Tan, Regional Marketing Director, Embedded Sales Group Asia Pacific. The event was kicked off by Prakash, who gave a brief observation on the current market trends and how Intel embedded solutions could be used to the advantage of SMEs in Malaysia.

During his presentation, Prakash invited several partners to come on stage. These partners were some of the few that were very successful in implementing Intel Embedded Technology. Each partner explained how they started and gave brief tips on how to successfully apply Intel’s Embedded concept.

A rather large crowd turned up for the briefing

After the speech, Prakash, along with Patrick Liew and Gark Tan, took some time to explain more about Intel Embedded concept to us. The trio explained that the main target of Intel’s Embedded concept is to create an ecosystem of intelligent systems that are highly specialized. While the devices are important, creating an ecosystem is of bigger importance and of greater benefit. They also stressed that Intel is in this for the long run, and expects to see a steady growth in embedded solutions within the coming years.
