Looks like the Samsung Gear Fit is about to get a product refresh, if the picture above is anything to go by. The image was posted by Twitter user and VentureBeat reporter @evleaks, and they show images of what looks to be the Samsung Gear Fit 2 tracking band, and the Samsung Gear IconX wireless ear buds. Samsung did not share detailed specifications with them.

According to VentureBeat, the Gear Fit 2 will come with a 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display. That’s not very different from its predecessor’s form factor, but the biggest upgrade to this 2016 wearable would be the inclusion of a dedicated GPS chipset. This chipset will improve the device’s distance-tracking accuracy at large. The addition of a GPS unit will likely increase its retail price and decrease battery life, said Ars Technica. The Gear Fit 2 should have a slightly re-designed clasp, should this be the finalized appearance.

In the other corner are the Samsung Gear IconX wireless ear buds that strongly resemble the Sony Xperia Ear and Kickstarter-funded Bragi Dash. VentureBeat says that Samsung’s version is dust and water resistant (with no further details on its IP rating), and they double as a fitness tracker plus digital music player. One half of the bud pair contains 4GB internal storage, and it uses touch controls similar to the Gear Circle.
