HADO takes VR gaming into the realm of PvP

The idea of VR gaming has always been limited to single player experiences and multiplayer co-op, but now there looks to be a competitive multiplayer game too, in the form of HADO.

This VR game – with a name that’s an obvious homage to a move from a certain fighting game – makes use of VR and AR, as it makes use of motion detection, as well as requires a paired smartphone. Originally from the Japanese company Meleap Inc and marketed as Techno Sports, it’s being brought into Malaysia by Idea Switch Sdn Bhd. And perhaps the term techno sports may be one way it differs from your usual e-sports, since this one requires considerable physical activity.

In fact, the game debuted in Malaysia with a tourney that was held at The Rift, Mid Valley. The tourney saw the participation of 23 three-man teams, with spectators watching the game through the perspective of the players.

HADO works in the same way that you’d expect a family entertainment center to work, and as of now you can visit iSports of Summit USJ, and later The Rift of Mid Valley to experience HADO. HADO Malaysia will be getting more partners to host the game in the future.
