'Get to Work' is The Sims 4's first expansion pack

Over the years, we've seen new (and returning) career tracks being introduced in each of The Sims' base game and their subsequent expansion packs, but they were never fully playable (save for Professions that were introduced in The Sims 3: Ambitions), with the action limited to 'rabbit holes' and menu options. Say no more, as EA and Maxis have just announced the first expansion pack for The Sims 4, titled Get to Work.

In The Sims 4: Get to Work, your Sims have access to three new dynamic careers: saving lives as a Doctor, create crazy inventions as a Scientist, or solve elaborate mysteries as a Detective. You'll be able to take active control of their actions in the respective workplace as they work through the ranks.

In addition to the new careers, your Sims can also start their own business, customizing bakeries, bookstores, clothing boutiques, and even art galleries using the Build Mode. From there, you can manage your inventories, hire employees, and smooth talk your customers into closing a deal. Being an expansion pack, Get to Work will also introduce new skills, such as Photography and Baking, as well as new clothing, hairstyle, furniture and decor. Oh, and there'll be aliens too!

The Sims 4: Get to Work will retail for SGD49.99 (approx. RM133) when it ships in April 2015.
