The Focal and Bentley collaboration runs deeper than just two high-end brands working together on a product.

Naim has been the flagship audio option in Bentley cars for some time now. Naim, in turn, merged with Focal some nine years ago in 2011.

The resulting headphone is called the Radiance. It's a closed-back headphone that features design cues inspired by the Bentley Mulliner Balacar – a limited edition roofless two-seat grand tourer that costs around US$2 million.

The design is similar to other Focal headphones but the Radiance is dressed in all-black and with striking copper accents.

Owners of Bentleys should find the patterns on the ear cups familiar because they are inspired by the signature "Diamond" quilt found on their seats.

Furthermore, the headphone features general amounts of Pittards leather. The headband and earpads are all wrapped in full-grain Pittards leather.

According to Focal, Pittards has been crafting leather since 1826 and has been supplying yacht manufacturers, fashion houses, and even the military. Apparently, Spitfire pilots wore Pittards gloves.

On the inside, the Radiance features Focal's 40mm M-shaped dome aluminium/magnesium driver – similar to the ones used in other Focal headphones like the Clear and Elegia – so we are expecting it to sound excellent.

Pricing and availability
