Pre-orders for Microsoft's new Surface Book with top-of-the-line specifications has already sold out on its online store. <br> Ubergizmo.

It goes without saying that Panos Panay, the Vice President for Surface Computing at Microsoft, left a distinct and huge impression on the world of technology the very moment he introduced the Surface Book to us all.

It’s become the talk of the town, so much so that, according to Ubergizmo’s report, pre-orders for the device’s top-of-the-line configuration have completely sold out. People are essentially paying US$2,699 (~RM11,167), just so that they can get a Surface Book that’s equipped with:

  • 13.5-inch display with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000
  • Windows 10 Pro
  • Surface Pen
  • 6th Generation Intel Core i7 Skylake processor
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM
  • 512GB SSD
  • Custom-made NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1GB GDDR5 GPU

To the ones who actually managed to secure an order for the above specifications, we’ve got this to say to you: that's one heck of an "investment". That being said, we definitely can’t wait for it to arrive into our office to play around with. That, and Microsoft’s Lumia 950 line of phones too.
