Fitbit lets you accessorize your Flex 2

Last week, we reported that Fitbit will be releasing two new products, successors to the Charge HR and the Flex called the Charge 2 and Flex 2, respectively. We’ve also covered fairly extensively about the new features that the successors are equipped.

Alexander Healy, Product Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific, Fitbit taking us through the new features of the Fitbit Charge 2 and Flex 2.

To recap, the Fitbit Charge 2 now comes with multi-sport tracking, connected GPS, call, text and calendar alerts, Reminders to Move and the ‘Cardio Fitness’ metric. All of these are packed into a new design with a larger display and interchangeable bands.

The Fitbit Flex 2, on the other hand, is now about 30 percent smaller, and is also swim-proof, with swim tracking to go with it. It also comes with the SmartTrack automatic exercise recognition, Reminders to Move as well as call and text notification.

So what’s new today? We’ve been told that to make maximum use of the smaller design, the Flex 2 now comes with new ways to be carried around on your person. In addition to the standard rubber trap, the Flex 2 can be worn as a bangle or even a pendant, perfect for those who would want their health trackers to also double as fashion accessories.

Fitbit has also decided to add more accessories to its existing lineup of products, including the Blaze and the Alta.

As we’ve shared earlier, the Fitbit Charge 2 will be available in October for RM730. There will also be a special edition of the Charge 2, in gunmetal and rose gold colors, at the price of RM820. It comes with bands of four colors for you to choose from: black, blue, plum or teal. You could also get extra bands of different colors for RM130. You could also get leather bands for the Charge 2 in blush pink, brown and indigo for RM360 each.

On the other hand, the Fitbit Flex 2 will be available later this month for RM450, with bands in magenta, black, lavender or navy. You can get extra bands in packs of three, one with bluish pink, lavender and magenta, while the other with gray, navy and yellow. The gold bangle and pendant for the Flex 2 will cost RM450 each, while the silver stainless steel bangle will be priced at RM420 and the silver stainless steel pendant will cost RM390.
