Macchina is an open source automotive interface that allows users to personalize and fine-tune multiple aspects of your car.

The Kickstarter project essentially allows enthusiasts to dive into the gritty details of their cars, right down to the electronical data running in the vehicle.

Using the Arduino Due platform, Macchina is meant for users that are well versed with coding. By being able to read and write the car's ECU and a lot of self learning on the user's part, Macchina allows the you to associate clutch timing to certain indicator lights; or even remotely unlocking your car door using your smartphone.

Macchina can be connected to your car in a variety of ways, ranging from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and even cellular networks.
