Epson announces L-series duplex integrated ink tank printers

Epson has announced a new series of A4 duplex integrated ink tank printers called the L-series, which consists of the L6160, L6170 and the L6190. The company touts them as offering as printers that offers one of the lowest printing costs in the market.

One of the key features that the L-series boasts is its compact size, which allows it to have one of the smallest footprints among ink tank printers. Also a key feature is the ability to print up to 7,500 monochrome pages and 6,000 color pages from its four ink bottle sets. These ink bottle sets are also made to be spill-free and easy to refill. It also happens to be the only ink tank printer that comes with the auto-duplex function.

For the specifics, these L-series printers come with PrecisionCore printheads to achieve up to 15ipm monochrome printing and 33ppm for draft printing. Maximum resolution is also rated at 4,800 x 1,200 dpi.

Other features include LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi Direct connectivity so that you can print straight from your phone. The L6170 and L6190 also include a 30-page Automatic Document Feeder that lets them scan and copy multiple sheets of documents while you’re away doing something else.

The announcement stopped short of revealing local pricing and availability.
