Dell Penetrates Boundaries with New Windows 8 Lineup
In lieu of the Windows 8 transitions across the floor, Dell has joined in the fray by ushering in its next era of computing with a whole new lineup of business and consumer-class PCs that are designed to take full advantage of the latest operating system. The devices in question are the Latitude 10 Tablet, the Latitude 6430u Notebook and the OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One with Touch PC.
The all-new Latitude 10 is a 10-inch tablet that offers rich multimedia features, accessory compatibility and full compatibility with current Windows applications. It also features 18 hours of battery life and plugs easily into existing management consoles.
The Latitude 6430u will release into the market as Dell's first business-class Ultrabook. The Ultrabook is said by the company to strike a perfect balance between aesthetic and corporate needs, thus combining both a thin, highly mobile form factor with security, manageability and durability. The Latitude 6430u offers a wireless docking based on WiGig technology that allows devices to communicate wirelessly, as well as 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Last but not least is Dell's sleek, 23-inch OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One (AiO). The OptiPlex is designed to preserve limited desk space while giving employees the power to be productive. This AiO features options like multi-point touchscreen, fixed or rotating camera and an articulating stand. It's also optimized for Microsoft Lync to enhance user experience with Windows 8.
The Latitude 10 tablet, Latitude 6430u and OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One with Touch will each be available at the starting prices of RM2,100, RM4,500 and RM3,600 respectively.
