DALI sets up shop in Malaysia, sales of audio devices to follow

Michael Pedersen, International Sales and Marketing Director for DALI A/S in Nørager, Denmark.

DALI isn’t a brand you’d hear too often in this part of the world, but if you actually make the effort to do a bit of digging, the company is actually a pretty reputable and well established brand, both in and outside of its home country of Denmark.

The company, whose name is an abbreviation of Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries, officially opened up its brand new office and base of operations here in KL, bringing along several of its high quality audio devices to be sold in Malaysia.

”DALI is a highly respected company with 34 years of unwavering dedication to its pursuit of audio performance,” Michael Pedersen, International Sales and Marketing Director for DALI A/S in Nørager, Denmark, said.

The DALI Katch, possibly one of the best sounding portable speakers that we've heard in a long time.

At DALI’s office housewarming, we got a chance to play around and sample some of the products that were on display. One particular product that caught our eye was the Katch, a portable speaker that sounded as good as it looked.

At a glance, the Katch looked simple in its design, but once we turned it on, we were actually impressed with device’s ability to handle the whole pitch range, as well as some rather impressive sound staging.

DALI had several of its products out on display. Below are some of the other speakers that we saw.

At present, DALI has yet to begin selling its products, but the company did tell us that when they do, we won’t have to wait for it to be brought in from Denmark. As it turns out, the company already some physical stock of its speakers already stored here, which will allow them to ship them out to consumers upon purchase.

That being said, we should emphasize that these speakers are not your average run-of-the-mill audio components, and as such, they will be sold at a premium. But, given the level of clarity and quality that we heard today, allow us as well to tell you that these speakers are worth every penny of whatever DALI’s asking price will be.
