CES 2017: LG has a floating Bluetooth speaker

While it may not be as cool-looking as a speaker that looks like clouds, complete with lighting effects, LG's upcoming Levitating Bluetooth Speaker is still an interesting product. This speaker system consists of an omnidirectional speaker and a base unit.

As you may have guessed from its name, LG used electromagnets to suspend the omnidirectional speaker in mid-air. This speaker features Dual Passive Radiator technology to handle the mids and highs, while the base unit acts as a subwoofer. The base also doubles as a charging dock. Once the battery on the omnidirectional speaker wears out (which is said to be about 10 hours), it will stop levitating and begin charging.

There are no pricing or availability details as of yet.
