A number of Celcom customers have reportedly received an official SMS from the blue telco, which informs them of a new FIRST Platinum plan. According to the message, FIRST Platinum will be launched on April 15 tomorrow with a monthly fee of RM150 (not inclusive of 6% GST). No details on the allocated Internet, calls and SMS were given, but expect them to be highly competitive with the other telcos. Here's an overview of the closest plans from Digi, Maxis, and U Mobile, with the latter being a principal-and-supplementary combo.

Based on the promotional FIRST Gold plan, it's safe to assume that FIRST Platinum will offer at least 8-9GB Internet allocation (and its equivalent free weekend Internet allocation), along with the benefits of unlimited calls and SMS, carry forward of unused Internet, and so forth – but again, that's just our assumption.

A Platinum-like color can be seen next to FIRST Blue and FIRST Gold on Celcom's recent online advertisement.

We, for one, can't wait for the official confirmation tomorrow. Let the speculations begin!
