Canon Announces New Additions to 2nd Generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series

Canon Marketing Malaysia has just announced the latest modules of its award-winning imageRUNNER ADVANCE series, the C2200 series, which offers seamless document handling, image capturing, user-level personalization, usage tracking and access control via the cloud. The second generation series lineup also includes the C5200 series, which has been designed to enhance the way companies work by delivering maximum speed, efficiency and productivity. This series is also equipped with improved software solutions, refined technological functionality plus enhanced data security and control features.


The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5200 series also has an 8.4-inch full color state-of-the-art TFT Control Panel, providing incredibly clear and sharp previews of JPEG, TIFF and PDF files. For added convenience, the device also comes equipped with a USB port located on the right side of the machine that provides easy access to documents on USB flash drives.

In line with today's need for mobile productivity and secure cloud-based workflows with the highest speed and competency, these series' provides direct cloud connectivity that supports Google Docs and Microsoft SharePoint Online, as well as other optional platforms such as Evernote and The versatile imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2200 can also scan to any Microsoft Office format.


Businesses with the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) policy can also rest with a peace of mind knowing that the new printers offer a range of security, print management and cost-accounting solutions. This includes a new server-less login application, the Universal Login Manager (ULM), an Access Management System, Audit Log function, as well as HDD Data Erase and Encryption, which prevents unintended information access with interface security measures for better user control. Users can even manage Canon's multi-function devices fleet with uniFLOW, and Canon's Direct Print and Mobile Printing apps, which are available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

The C5200 series is notable for being handpicked by Buyers Laboratory LCC (BLI), the world's leading independent evaluator of document imaging products and solutions, as one of its choices for Summer 2013 in the A3 and digital duplicator categories. The multi-function devices (MFD) from Canon received honors in the A3 categories with both the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5235 and imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5240 winning the Outstanding 31- to 40-ppm A3 Color MFDs award and the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5250 awarded the Outstanding 41- to 50-ppm A3 Color MFD award.
