BMW Malaysia announced its participation in MAP Publika’s Cooler Lumpur Festival 2017, which will run from August 19 to August 20, 2017. The premium automaker revealed that their activities will consist of discussion panels, and a demonstration of its pure electric driving system.

During August 20 from 1.30pm to 3pm, the company will be holding its first panel ‘Short Films 7 Beyond! Moving from Resume to Digital and Commercial Stardom’. The discussion is meant to explore the rising influence of social media communication in digital media, as well as how this has affected the future roles of short films in our media space.

Also being launched during this panel is the 11th BMW Shorties short film competition, where both the judges and overall theme will be revealed this year.

The second discussion panel on August 20 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm is ‘The Red Pill or The Blue Pill? Not How Things Will End But How Things Will Begin with Internet of Things (IoT)’. This panel will discuss how IoT has affected the capabilities and functions of services and products, and where Malaysia stands in the technology curve.

Both panel discussions will be held at the White Box art gallery. Those interested can attend either of these panels by pre-registering your interest here.

BMW Malaysia will also be running an Electric Driving experiential program that shows visitors the efficiency of the BMW 330e M Sport sedans using the eDrive Technology over a special circuit. This system utilizes an electric motor that can greatly reduce emissions and petrol consumption of a vehicle.
