Biostar's new Hi-Fi Z170Z5 motherboard supports both DDR3 and DDR4 RAM

Biostar recently announced a new combo motherboard for the new sixth generation Intel Skylake processor. Known as the Hi-Fi Z170Z5, this particular motherboard now joins the ranks of a select few motherboards that support both the DDR3 and DDR4 RAM memory modules.

Specifically, the motherboard will support up to two sticks of DDR3 RAM (at a maximum of 16GB), and at a maximum frequency of 1,866MHz. Alternatively, it will also support up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM (two slots only) at a maximum clock frequency of 2,133MHz.

Besides the dual memory module support, the Hi-Fi Z170Z5 also carries some of Biostar's iconic features for motherboards, such as the Puro Hi-Fi built-in sound card, which supports the Blu-ray audio DRM, providing a higher audio output at 24-bit at 192KHz.
