BenQ ZOWIE announces the 240Hz XL2540 gaming monitor

BenQ ZOWIE has today announced the XL2540 gaming monitor, boasting up to 240Hz refresh rate.

BenQ already has a history of making monitors with 144Hz refresh rates, which is pretty excessive for the average gamer and plenty even for the pros. With the new 240Hz refresh rate, it does open up more possibilities, especially for those who can afford to invest in graphical processing hardware to make full use of that refresh rate.

Other things to come with the 24.5-inch BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 includes side shields to minimize reflection from ambient lighting, and other mainstay features of BenQ gaming monitors such as an adjustable panel for a more comfortable viewing experience, and BenQ’s Black eQualizer that brightens dark bits on screen without affecting the brightness oo the rest of what you see.

The S Switch is here as well, along with a headset hangar and the easily adjustable panel.

Also here at the launch was the 27-inch BenQ ZOWIE XL2735, with the company’s DyAc 144Hz refresh rate tech. This was earlier previewed during the BenQ SEA Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Invitational in late November last year.

Aside from the size and refresh rates, the XL2450 and the XL2735 are very similar.

The BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 will be priced at RM2,399 upon release. As for the XL2735, it will be priced at RM3,299. As for when they will be released, all BenQ is telling us is that they will be in the market by the end of Q1 2017.
