AMD updates its 2016 offerings

Last month, we reported about AMD's offerings for the first quarter of 2016, and it looks like there's been an update. In addition to what we reported, AMD will also be releasing a new APU called the A10-7890K, which will be bundled with the Wraith Cooler.

The A10-7890K APU is the fastest desktop APU to date, allowing for some rather serious gaming, even with graphics set to High. Here are some benchmark results according to AMD:

In addition, AMD also announced a new 125W thermal solution called the 'near-silent 125W AMD Thermal Solution', which will be bundled with the new AMD Athlon X4 880K processor. The X4 880K has a maximum clock speed of 4.2GHz, making it the fastest multi-core Athlon processor from AMD.

If you're interested in some performance figures, here they are (the graphics are handled by an AMD Radeon R7 370 graphics card):

Last but not least, AMD will also be bundling the new 125W thermal solution with the A10-7870K, which is already in the market.

The A10-7890K and Athlon X4 880K, as well as the 125 thermal solution will be available for sale towards the end of March.
