AfterShokz enters the Malaysian market with the launch of the Trekz Titanium

AfterShokz has just entered the Malaysian market with the official launch of the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium at The Marathon Shop, Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur. Chances are, only a very select few of you have heard of the name AfterShokz before. It is, in fact, a brand with five years of history.

The AfterShokz Trekz Titanium in its three available colors: Ivy, Ocean and Slate (green, blue and gray).

The AfterShokz Trekz Titanium is a pair of Bluetooth headphones that work by bone conduction, which is essentially the process of sending sound waves to your inner ear via your cheekbones. This leaves your ears open, granting you better situational awareness, perfect for those of you who prefer to work out in the elements rather than in the comfort of a gym.

As the name would suggest, it has a titanium frame to ensure the Trekz Titanium can survive the outdoors without being too rigid to cause discomfort. To avoid death by sweat, it also comes with an IP55 rating. To go with those is a six-hour battery life, giving it stamina to match its toughness.

As you can see, there are no earbuds here.

Some of you might think that bone conduction headphones have flaws inherent by its design, including weak bass and sound leakage. Well, AfterShokz says it has fixed these issues with what it calls PremiumPitch+ Sound and LeakSlayer tech built into the Trekz Titanium.

The AfterShokz Trekz Titanium is available at The Marathon Shop for RM499.
