2K teases Mafia III: Rivals, a mobile RPG game for Android and iOS

It looks like you’ll have more than Mafia III to sink into on October 7 when it launches for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, as 2K has recently announced that there will be a mobile game accompanying it: Mafia III: Rivals.

Mafia III: Rivals, which will be available as a free download for iOS and Android devices on October 7, will allow you to take on the city of New Bordeaux from an entirely different perspective. The mobile game will feature characters, locations, and events from the main Mafia III game, and your objective – according to the press release we were issued – would be to “Assemble your crime syndicate by seizing property, collecting loot (including weapons and vehicles) and defeating any rival mobs that interfere with your plans.

You’ll be able to recruit and train more than 40 crime bosses from the Mafia III universe to help you on your quest.

Surprisingly, you can actually pre-register your interest for Mafia III: Rivals by clicking here. Doing so would grant you a "limited-time bonus character and weapon" when the game launches early next month. No harm doing so, considering the game will be available to you free of charge anyway.
