The ECS Z170 LIGHTSABER is one of the latest boards from the company. The reason why it's called what it's called is because there's an LED strip that lights up to show a separation between the audio components and the rest of the board. As its name also suggests, it runs on the Intel Z170 chipset, so it'll support Intel's 6th generation Core processors.
Here are some of the new motherboards from ECS. Of note is the H110s-2P at the bottom right. That's one of the first Mini-STX boards in the world.
Remember the H110S-2P? Here it is being deployed in the LIVA Z, one of the newest LIVA mini PCs from ECS.
This is a tablet that's meant for the education industry. It's relatively affordable, runs on Intel Cherry Trail (Z8350), and can be purchased with an optional wacom stylus. Sadly, this device does not recognize different levels of pressure.
This range of notebooks are new from ECS. They're targeted for business executives, so they're rather robust. As you can see, they come in a variety of sizes, from the large 17-inch to the portable 11-inch. We were told that these notebooks can survive a drop from 15cm. No, they didn't let us do a drop test.
What we have here is a stackable PC system much like the Acer Revo Build. However, this PC from ECS is mainly used for Point of Sales (PoS) applications.
Spot the ECS stackable PC! It's actually that tiny square right below the monitor, on the right.
Here's another thing that's new from ECS - a mobile PoS system. Just tap the item you'd like to buy, and it'll print out a QR code for you to scan with your mobile device, which in turn leads to a checkout screen for you to make payment.
ECS is also working on wireless charging solutions that's compatible with the Qi Wireless Charging technology. You can embed these circular things into a table, and you're on your way to wirelessly charge your device(s) that support Qi Wireless Charging.
Don't have a device that's compatible with Qi Wireless charging? No problem! Just plug these circular pods into your smartphone and place the rounded side on top of the platform seen in the previous page, and you're good to go!
