Winning Movies Of The National Movie-Making Competition

The team from Singapore American School won the lower secondary category with their entry, titled "Shark Fin Soup Bites". This short film looks at what happened behind the scenes when a bowl of shark fin soup is being served to the table.

During the prize award, Ms Tan Lee Hoon, Managing Director of LEGO® Singapore Pte Ltd, highlighted that the National Movie-Making competition, with the LEGO® and Steven Spielberg Movie-Maker set, has allowed students to exercise their imagination, creativity teamwork and fun, all at the same time.



The LEGO® and Steven Spielberg Movie-Maker set, endorsed by Steven Spielberg, comes complete with a PC movie camera, movie-editing software and 400++ Lego elements. This product won the "Best Interactive Children’s Product" and "Best Interactive Learning Product" awarded by the British Academy of Film & Television Arts.



Singapore Polytechnic, School of Info-Communications Technology provided training to the participating schools' teachers with the use of the LEGO® & Steven Spielberg Movie-Maker set in a one day course. The winning students, learnt to use the product within hours. This showed the easy to use functions and features in the product.
