Google may soon release a white Nexus 4. Android and Me says that they managed to snag one at the Google I/O conference and that it will reportedly be available on the Google Play Store on June 10th.

A new version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 that runs stock Android has been announced. Priced at US$649, it will be available on the Google Play store on June 26. It's unknown at the moment if this device will be sold in other markets.

In the first quarter of 2013, Apple has regained its fifth place position in the Chinese mobile market with an eight percent market share. For the last two quarters in 2012, it was languishing in 6th place, while Samsung remained firmly in the top spot with a 20 percent market share.

3DMark for Android has been updated to version 1.0.2-1109. While most of the changes are minor, Ice Storm Extreme's Physics test now runs at 720p to ensure the result is not influenced by the GPU. As a result, devices with low-end GPUs may see an increase in scores.

According to a Strategy Analytics report, Apple led the tablet market with 19.5 million iPads sold last quarter. Microsoft leapt to a market share of 7.5 percent with three million Windows-based tablets shipped worldwide, up from last quarter's paltry figure of 1.6 percent.

Twitter has confirmed that it will be closing TweetDeck's mobile apps on May 7. TweetDeck apps for Android, iOS and Adobe AIR will be removed from the respective app stores and will cease to function. TweetDeck for web and Chrome however will still be kept alive, and will be updated weekly.
