You can now unlock your Windows 10 PC with the fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy S8

First launched in 2015, the Samsung Flow app gained a nifty trick last year that lets you unlock Galaxy PCs such as the TabPro S with the fingerprint reader on your Galaxy smartphone. According to The Verge, this feature has now been extended to Windows 10 PCs.

With the updated Samsung Flow app (Google Play Store link, Windows Store link), signing in to your Windows 10 PC (with Creators Update installed) is as simple as scanning your fingerprint on the Galaxy phone. Supported phones include the newest Galaxy S8 / S8+, as well as Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge, S6 / S6 Edge / S6 Edge+, and more. Additionally, you need to ensure that your Windows PC supports Bluetooth and has a TPM (Trusted Platform Module).

In addition to authenticating your PC with your smartphone, you can also sync notifications from the phone to the PC and share content between devices.
