Want to get up close to Acer's Predator 21 X gaming notebook? (Updated)

From L-R: Johnson Seet, Director of Products, Acer Malaysia; Bruce Howe, General Manager, Microsoft Consumer and Devices Sales, Microsoft Malaysia; Chan weng Hong, Acer Sales and Services Sdn Bhd General Manager of Products, Sales and Marketing; and Jeffrey Lai, Product Manager, Acer Malaysia.

Updated on May 17, 2017 at 17:30: As promised, Acer's road show is currently happening at IOI City Mall, and will run until May 21, 2017 (Sunday). In that time, you can visit the booth to check out the Predator 21 X gaming notebook in all its glory, along with several other products in the Predator lineup, as well as other Acer products.

During the launch, we also found out that Acer will be making only one unit of the Predator 21 X available for purchase in Malaysia, and that it will be sold on a first paid basis. So, if you're interested in owning Acer's behemoth of a gaming notebook, you may place your order for it via email at ama.marcom@acer.com.

When someone tells you to 'dream big', you can bet that they're referencing Acer and what may be its most ambitious endeavor yet – the Predator 21 X. After all, what other product can lay claim to the title of 'World's First Curved Screen Notebook' than this 21-inch beast of a gaming notebook? Although rarely seen out in the open (save for tradeshows of CES' and IFA's caliber), it has come to our attention that Acer Malaysia will be offering everyone a chance to get up close and personal with the Predator 21 X when they visit the IOI City Mall, Putrajaya from May 17 till May 21 this week.

The five-day roadshow is expected to be gaming focused, so we're anticipating the latest range of monitors, desktop and notebook PCs from the Predator series to be there, along with the non-gaming product lineup. If there's one thing we hope to see there, it'll be the IMAX-approved StarVR headset that was jointly developed with Starbreeze Studios. And while we're at it, what's to stop Acer from bringing out the recently revealed Windows Mixed Reality headset?

Guess we'll find out in two days' time!
