Wacom Debuts Cintiq 13HD Design Tablet

For approximately RM3,000, it's pretty much erring on the side of value for money <br>Image source: Engadget

So, if you're a graphics artists looking for a Wacom Cintiq tablet on a budget, it's not going to be easy, considering how much a 24HD is currently going for. Not to mention that the size of such a device (should you ever be so lucky to own one) would more than likely take up a lot of your desk space.

That might not be the case anymore, considering that Wacom just outed the Cintiq 13HD: a 13-inch HD pen display with an adjustable stand and a retooled Pro Pen. According to Engadget, the device is very compact, has a slim design and possesses an easy setup for both the Mac and PC. Also, users have the choice of four settings: flat, 22 degrees, 35 degrees and 50 degrees, depending on whether you're sitting down with the device in lap or on desktop.

Intricate details of the device have yet to be seen, but one thing that we're pretty certain about is its price: these devices will start shipping out in early April for $1,000 (That's approximately RM3,100). You may think that it's a bit on the pricey side, but we think it's best that you be informed: the most expensive Cintiq, the 24HD, fetches a price tag of over RM15,000.
