U Mobile relaunches flagship store, G-Dragon added to Unlimited Ideas Groove Calendar

Remember earlier in May when U Mobile announced the Unlimited Ideas Groove Calendar, the one that included Ed Sheeran’s Malaysia tour? Well, the telco has just announced that it will be adding the Malaysian leg of G-Dragon’s Act III: M.O.T.T.E tour – which takes place on September 17, 2017 at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur – to the list.

The telco also took the opportunity to announce that it will be organizing contests on its official Instagram account, giving subscribers a chance to win tickets to both G-Dragon’s and Ed Sheeran’s concert, the latter of which have already sold out. That said, you’ll have to be a subscriber for at least six months by the end of the contest periods to be eligible, in addition to following the official U Mobile Instagram account. The contest for the G-Dragon tickets will take place from August 18 to September 8, 2017, while the one for Ed Sheeran will be from September 25 to October 27, 2017. U Mobile says that more information will be made available on Instagram closer to the respective dates.

This announcement was made at the relaunch of the U Mobile flagship store, at the ground floor of Berjaya Times Square. The relaunch is essentially to establish itself as an experiential center, with smartphones that you can purchase as part of the telco’s postpaid bundle on display. A significant part of the store resembles an Apple experience section, with the new iPhone 7 taking a big chunk of the experiential space. The service side of the store has been relocated to the first floor as a dedicated service center.

This section is nearly entirely dedicated to the iPhone 7.

The service center is accessible by going up the escalator next to the flagship store, and immediately turning left.
