U Mobile Focuses on Environmental Issues for CSR Initiatives
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – What does the color orange and green have in common, you ask? Just recently U Mobile (orange) announced that it has deployed a team of staff to put their work on hold, and instead go around secondary schools educating students on environmental issues and the roles they play in protecting Mother Nature from severe pollution and deterioration.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, these U Mobile employees will set out to inspire and educate youths on the importance of preserving and protecting the environment. To facilitate this new inspiration, U Mobile will also be sponsoring recycling bins to schools, which will encourage them to recycle and reuse wastes.
Lisy Lee, U Mobile’s Head of Corporate Communication said, “Apart from reducing carbon footprint within our business practice by sharing network infrastructure with other telco in the market, we also strive to extend our commitment to preserve the environment by inspiring and educating youths to make a difference within communities that we’re involved in.”
