Transcend SSD320 Hits the Market

Transcend has announced the availability of its brand new 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s SSD - the Transcend SSD320. The SSD is equipped with the 2nd generation SandForce SF-2281 controller, which allows it to have sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 530MB/s.

The Transcend SSD320 is also able to perform at a maximum of 4k random file writes of 87,000 IOPS and has built-in Error Correction Code (ECC). Physically, the SSD comes in the 2.5-inch form factor with a thickness of 7mm.

Further increasing the appeal of the SSD320 is its support for Transcend's very own SSD Scope software, which allows for easy monitoring and optimization of the drive, and comes with System Clone, a utility that allows users to easily copy content from a HDD to the SSD.

The Transcend SSD320 is available in variants of 64, 128, and 256GB. They are priced at US$79(~RM249), US$129(~RM407), and US$229(~RM722) respectively.
